Berty's aim is to ensure that the Bride and Bridegroom,
together with the Host and Hostess and all the Guests,
have a most enjoyable occasion.

Hiring a Toastmaster to ensure that your wedding reception and wedding breakfast run smoothly is highly recommended. Though it is never too early to book the services of a good Toastmaster, by delaying it may well be too late!

A friendly red-coated toastmaster can make all the difference to your big day. It means that the Bride, Bridegroom, their parents, and particularly the Best Man, are relieved of any worries about ‘who does what’ and ‘what happens next’! They can all relax and enjoy themselves, completely free of stress, knowing that everything is in the hands of a capable, properly trained and experienced professional.

Perhaps hithereto you have not considered engaging a professional toastmaster for your wedding reception. Possibly you may feel that the presence of a formally dressed Master of Ceremonies is ‘over the top’. However, the modern day Toastmaster has the ability to adapt to each situation and can be as formal or informal as you wish or as the situation demands. Although this may be the first time that you have arranged a wedding reception, your Toastmaster has an immense wealth of knowledge and experience. This is at your disposal from the moment the booking of your Toastmaster is confirmed.

Berty Bowes is a well known and highly respected Toastmaster throughout the Midlands. His advisory role in the early stages will be by telephone, E-mail or letter and will include useful advice on the three traditional speeches and toasts as well as advice for the Bride if she should also wish to speak. He will explain how he organises a bridal receiving line so that it takes minimum time without it being rushed. He will discuss the most suitable time for the ceremony of cutting the wedding cake, for which he can provide a sword! This is always very popular and is available for a small extra charge.

About four weeks before the wedding day, however, Berty likes to meet the parents of the bride, together with the bride and bridegroom, to discuss and plan the precise format for the day, including the arrangements if the wedding is to be a civil ceremony. Following this meeting, Berty will provide a detailed report confirming exactly what has been agreed so that everyone is ‘singing from the same hymn sheet’. Should the need arise, though, the plan can easily be fine tuned right up to the day before the wedding.

For a full explanation of his duties, it is suggested that you contact Berty Bowes as soon as possible on 0116 259 0225.
